Daniel Cinelli is an award-winning, mixer, and engineer based in Montreal, with over 20 years of experience in the music industry.
His extensive portfolio boasts over 3 billion streams and millions of albums sold worldwide as well as extensive #1 radio singles.
Daniel has worked with a diverse array of Canadian and international artists, including
Prince, OneRepublic, Justin Bieber, Lauryn Hill, Arcade Fire, Alessia Cara, MIKA, Colbie Caillat, Elton John, Wyclef Jean, The Fugees, David Usher, Peter Murphy, Preston Pablo, REVE, BANX & RANX, Kassidy, Sam James, Nikki Yanofsky, and Karl Wolf.
On the French international scene, Daniel has mixed and engineered albums for artists such as
Corneille, Marie-Mai, Bruno Pelletier, Sylvain Cossette, Roch Voisine, Eric Lapointe, Florence K., Shy’m, K’maro, Fredz, Stazz, and Cirque du Soleil, Notre Dame de Paris, among hundreds of others.
Daniel has also collaborated and co-produced albums with renowned figures like
Quincy Jones, Phil Ramone, Ryan Tedder, Lawrence Manchester, Tony Maserati, Rob Kleiner, Phil Tan, Harmony Samuels, BANX & RANX, Luc Plamondon, and Elliot Scheiner.
As a songwriter and producer, Daniel is a two-time Grand Prize winner of Canada’s National Songwriting Competition and has received multiple Juno Awards for his mixing work, including for The McDades’ album, “Bloom.” He is also a two-time ADISQ Award winner in Québec for Sound Recording and Mix of the Year.
In addition to his music industry achievements, Daniel has lent his producing and engineering talents to several popular films and television shows, such as
“Cheaper by the Dozen” (20th Century Fox), “The Prince of Persia” (Walt Disney Pictures), “Dawson’s Creek” (The WB), “Party of Five” (Fox), “Summerland” (The WB), “Felicity” (The WB), and “She Drives Me Crazy.”
In 2001, Daniel founded Planet Studios, an award-winning, world-class recording studio in Montreal. The studio has hosted a wide range of artists, including
Rihanna, Simple Plan, Charlie Puth, Win Butler, MIKA, Sam Roberts, David Usher, and Youssou N’Dour.
Top engineers such as Paul Northfield (Rush, Dream Theater), Tony Platt (AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Bob Marley), Ross Hogarth (The Doobie Brothers, Jewel), and Godfrey Diamond (Lou Reed, Luther Vandross) have also worked at Planet Studios.
